Since its reformation in 2018, LANDOR has been moving consciously beyond fixed classifications. The starting point is not a defined genre, but an open space where influences from folk, electronics and art pop overlap and reconnect. What once emerged from an Irish folk tradition evolves here into an independent musical language that continuously shifts.
With Lee Side, this movement becomes tangible. After a period of pause, the band returns in a reduced formation. The sound becomes clearer, more transparent, yet more condensed in its effect. Acoustic instruments, voice and carefully placed electronic elements intertwine, creating a sound that oscillates between grounding and lightness.
The title itself describes a condition: the leeward side. A place where movement does not arise head-on, but indirectly. Where leaves fall, where rhythm forms from resonance, where quite tension unfolds between color, longing and melancholy.
What emerges is an album that forms part of an ongoing development. A space that opens, shifts and finds its energy precisely where things are not fixed.
